Reactive four-channel sound composition for the project HEARTH by McKenzie Genin, shown at Burning Man Festival Nevada, 2024
An immersive art installation inviting you to explore the depths of human emotion and our intrinsic connection to EARTH.
Within a suspended metal cage rests a wooden HEART, embodying the unity of EARTH, HEART, and ART. As participants enter the cage and step into the HEART’s inner chamber, they are invited into a space of reflection, healing, and reconnection to the planet beneath us.
HEARTH features a reactive four-channel sound composition that unfolds as people meet within the space. As bodies move closer, new sound elements emerge, creating an evolving sonic tapestry that mirrors human connection and intimacy.
Pulsating lights synchronize with the HEART’s rhythm, enveloping you in a mesmerizing atmosphere where sound, light, body, and Earth converge as one living artwork.
